Modern Slavery is the severe exploitation of other people for personal or commercial gain. There are many forms of slavery, the most common are; human trafficking, forced labour, bonded labour and slavery of children. These types of slavery are global issues in society that can appear in all types of industries and sectors.

At The JoinWorks, we have a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking. This statement sets out our actions to understand all potential slavery risks in relation to its business and puts in place steps aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its business or supply chain.

This statement relates to actions and activities during the period 1st September 2023 to 30 August 2024 and is made in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The JoinWorks is a specialist boutique IT consultancy business focused and delivering solutions we know and believe in. Our choices are based on our collective years of experience in the industry and having worked from the ground up to the heights of the Senior Management teams of the businesses we work in. Our objective is to be recognised and recommended by our customers and industry peers as being the best at what we do. We care passionately about the legacy we leave behind both in terms of the knowledge we impart, the amazing systems we build and the people we bring on in the business.

The JoinWorks strives to act ethically and with integrity and is committed to ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain. The anti-slavery policy reflects our commitment as a business to acting ethically and with integrity in our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective controls to reduce the risk and ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking does not take place.

training and awareness

At The JoinWorks, we understand that slavery is not static and therefore we are committed to ensuring continual monitoring and risk control within the business. We have a compliance team whose responsibility it is to monitor and ensure that they have a high level of understanding of the risks of slavery and human trafficking within a business.

As an organisation we give staff the level of understanding required about slavery and human trafficking. We encourage all of our employees and contractors to report any concerns they might have about slavery and/or human trafficking affecting the business.

supplier mapping and risk assessment

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have mapped out our supply chain. This has allowed us to identify and assess potential risk areas, and will allow us to monitor the risk going forward.

prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking

The JoinWorks regularly reviews the training, awareness and policies to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains.

If any employees are concerned or suspicious around certain activities within the organisation or the supply chain, we urge them to report this to a director immediately. Any reports made regarding suspicions or concerns will be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.
